A Leap-Day Winter Wedding

When I first met Casey and Tim during their summer engagement session, we discussed their end of February winter wedding - and alllllll of the possible weather options that Minnesota can offer in February. Lucky for them, they were blessed with a beautiful day. It was sunny, and warmish, and very very wet outside. So, it was a very nice temperature for taking photos outside, but the other two conditions made outdoor photos a little difficult. The outdoor photos you see in this post were made possible by a very willing and adventurous wedding party who weren't afraid of getting their shoes (or dresses) wet.

Gathered Oaks in Alexandra, MN is an absolutely beautiful venue. Their indoor space gave us great options for taking photos indoors, which turned out beautifully. Tim and Casey had a short and sweet ceremony, followed by a cocktail in the basement while the crew flipped the upstairs room for their reception. I only stayed for a short while into the reception, but it was gorgeous and I could tell it would be a very fun rest of the night.
